Pokemon Means A Lot

I love Pokemon cards.  They are so much fun.  There is something intrinsically enjoyable about unwrapping the foil packet and viewing the art that so defined my early childhood.  I've carried that joy into young adulthood (I have spent probably $500 in the past 12 months on Pokemon cards) and continue to collect and play the card and electronic games.  My first Christmas memory is of a Christmas at my grandmother's when I got my first GameBoy Color and Pokemon Yellow version.  Though that was many years ago, recently I have acquired a new copy of Yellow, and have been continuously reliving the defining points of my short life.  It brings me large amounts of profound happiness to have these memories on which to live.  My Pokemon related memories morph into memories of my imaginary stints into the Digital World with my friend Te'Vell, in which we would pretend to be Digimon, protecting the Digiverse from the villians of our choosing.  Which then leads to playing Final Fantasy with my friend Alex, and buying Yu-Gi-Oh from Wal-Mart...  My memories define who I am as an individual, in my tastes and mannerisms, to my passions and interests.  I turn eighteen in slightly more than one month, and I have spent a lot of time dwelling on the history of my life, and it's an interesting tale that unfolds in front of me, filled with troubles (for example, the time I attempted to murder someone at my church camp) and joys (becoming engaged to the woman of my life), and all of it has helped to sculpt the unique individual I am now.  I sincerely hope that everyone experiences the multitude of life's journeys that existence has to offer.  Thank you Earth.
